The Z-SPAN website is in the process of being updated.

I’m happy for you to take a look around, but know that things are a work in progress.

Hello, and welcome to Z-SPAN, a service of GoodClix.  I’m Ray Harwood, owner of GoodClix and the founder of Z-SPAN.

Why am I here?  I’m here because you are here, seeking guidance, assistance, information, and experience.  I love to help people — always have.

I’m frequently found over in the Zoom Community where many people go for help volunteering as a Community Chamption.  In fact if you’ll look at this Commuinity page, you’ll see that I’m the top solutions answerer of all time!  I have provided over 500 solutions, and as of summer 2025, the only holder of the “Puzzler” badge.

My interest in computers started in the summar of 1970, when I wrote my first computer program in FORTRAN on punched cards.  I got my BS degree in 1975 from Mississippi State University, then spent 6 years in the United States Air Force primarily as a B-52 navigator.  See the responsibilities and positions thoughout my career, here on LinkedIn.

I took a bit of an early retirement in early 2014 and spend some time consulting with clients on a variety of topics, from web design to custom software packages for Windows devices.

Then at the onset of COVID I started helping a couple of clients with Zoom meetings and webinars.  At that point, GoodClix transformed from a web and software company to a Zoom event production company.

Always being the guy that takes the “deep dive” into something I like, I found that helping others with their Zoom problems was very rewarding to me personally.  In the fall of 2021 when the Zoom Events platform debuted, I took an even deeping dive into that product.  I’ve very active on the Zoom Events forums available on the Zoom Community site.

I’m well known in a number of places for being a go-to resource for Zoom Events guidance and problem solving. I’m a regular panelist on the Zoom Text Kitchen and a frequent contributor to Denise Lahat’s Zoom Events Pros group on Facebook.

I look forward to getting to know you along the way, and hope that you find what you are looking for here on Z-SPAN.
